- Overnight Shipping: Estimated delivery within one business day after dispatch, where available.
- Expedited Shipping: Estimated delivery within 1–2 business days, depending on the selected service and destination.
- Hold for Pickup: Available where supported by the shipping provider, allowing customers to collect their package from an approved facility.

How We Package Tortoises for Shipping
Every tortoise is carefully prepared and securely packaged for transport. Depending on its size, species, and expected transit conditions, packaging may include a secure inner container, breathable materials where appropriate, protective insulation, and temperature-control materials when needed. The package is secured to minimize excessive movement and labeled according to the shipping provider’s requirements.

Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders are prepared once payment, delivery details, and shipping arrangements have been confirmed. Dispatch dates depend on carrier availability, weather, and the suitability of shipping conditions. We may postpone a shipment during extreme heat, cold, severe weather, or other circumstances that could affect the tortoise’s welfare.

Preparing for Your Tortoise’s Arrival
Please prepare an appropriate enclosure before your tortoise arrives, including the correct temperature gradient, UVB lighting, humidity, hydration, and hiding areas for its species. Open the package promptly upon arrival, check your tortoise for any visible concerns, and follow the care and acclimation instructions provided.

Weather Delays & Shipping Safety
Live tortoise shipments require suitable conditions. We may reschedule dispatch during extreme temperatures or other unfavorable conditions to help protect animal health and safety. Carrier delays, holidays, and destination restrictions may also affect arrival times. We will communicate significant delays and available next steps.
Replacement Shipping
If a replacement is approved under our 7-Day Tortoise Replacement Policy, the customer may be responsible for replacement shipping costs according to the policy’s terms. The replacement delivery method, estimated arrival, and applicable charges will be confirmed before dispatch.
